About EFP
Steve and Donna DelMonte began Electronic Field Productions in Rochester, NY in 1986. In the early 1990’s, Avid launched ground breaking, non-linear editing technology and EFP was among the first customers on the East Coast. Editing and EFP have come a long way since then with many editors, software and hardware changes. EFP acquired its first permanent home in 2012, buying and renovating a building in the up and coming South Wedge. The building is decorated with Steve’s eclectic taste and displays a bold collection of artifacts from his travels all over the world. Whether you are in Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse or anywhere in Western New York, you can count on EFP to provide broadcast quality, high definition and 4K video production and post production to meet your needs.
Steve graduated from St. John Fisher College with a double major in Physics and Communications: the first person to ever graduate SJFC with such a an unusual combination. Steve has a strong technical aptitude which continues to serve him well as EFP keeps pace with the rapid rate of technological change.
After college, Steve joined Rochester’s ABC network affiliate WOKR, now WHAM13 as a news video photographer. In those days a news video photographer would shoot and then edit the story to be aired that same day. That kind of intense on the job training earned Steve the reputation for “editing in his head, while he is shooting”. Before Steve ever picks up a video camera, he already knows what he is going to shoot and how he or the editor and producer will edit the piece in order to tell the story.
Steve has been recognized with countless Cine, Telly and Communicator awards for his talent and hard work. He is most proud of his Emmy Award and Emmy nominations along with a prestigious gold medal from the International Film and TV Festival of NY.
Donna received her MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology. Donna went on to work at Xerox, and Honeywell full-time by day, while overseeing the finances, taxes, insurance, legal issues and human resources by night. EFP was able to capitalize on Steve and Donna’s divergent strengths.
Andy Corneles, EFP’s senior editor, graduated from Finger Lakes Community College with a degree in Audio Recording Technology and then went on to secure a degree in digital media from Full Sail University. Andy is a true artist whether creating a drawing by hand or on a computer. He brings his artistry into each edit and provides clients with unique post-production elements for their videos.
Cathy Hennessy graduated from St. John Fisher College with a degree in Business Administration. Cathy worked with Donna at Xerox over the years and after taking time off to raise her family returned to the workforce. Donna and Cathy have been a team for over 20 years now, eight of them at EFP. Cathy manages multiple projects arranging shoots, editing, voice overs, freelancers, billing, receivables, payables and taxes. Cathy makes sure that everyone is where they are supposed to be and the everything runs smoothly.
